¹⁵ The days of mortal man are like grass;
    he flourishes like a flower of the field.
¹⁶ The wind sweeps over him, and he is gone,
    and his place never sees him again.
¹⁷ But from everlasting to everlasting
    the kindness^[a] of the Lord is with those who fear him,
    and his righteousness with their children’s children,
